Our Allied Health Professionals

Community Nurses

A team of District Nurses works with the Practice providing care and support for those patients who are unable to attend the surgery. They have close links with all the voluntary services and other community nurses like the Macmillan and continence nurse. Arrangements for visits can be made by contacting the Medical Centre directly or following the recommendations of your doctor.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors can be contacted on (01753 638431 ext: 8451) between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm. All the Health Visitors are trained as nurses and have completed a year’s post registration course to gain their qualification. They are available to offer advice and support by telephone, at home visits and in clinics.

Their main area of work is with the 0-5 age range and their parents. Amongst other things advice can be offered on feeding, behaviour management and any concerns about development. Health Visitors also work with adults and do offer some counselling skills.
